Family Preservation programs are those programs and services that work with families who may be at risk of having a child removed for reasons of abuse/neglect or delinquency. All programs are strength based in practice, are family focused, and are completely confidential.

Child Integration and Stabilization Services:  Provides parenting education and direction to parents and children who experience an out of home placement.  The focus is to reunify the family while providing safe and effective parenting skills.  This program is offered through New Light Child & Family Institute; a subsidiary of New Light Consultants.  

FIGHT ©- Offered Solely by New Light Consultants. This is an intensive outpatient substance abuse program to divert youth from residential placement

Payment Options:  Insurances, Visa, Master Card or individualized fee schedule.

Individual and/or family therapy services are offered in home for those needing assistance with, individual or family relationship issues, parenting issues, substance abuse issues. Services are provided by trained licensed or certified counselors or therapists. All therapy is confidential. Counseling services include:

1) A comprehensive Bio/Psycho/ Social Assessment.

2) A Person/Family Centered Treatment plan.

3) Appointments to meet your family or individual needs.

Relapse Prevention

Turn Around is offered for those who  have had suspended drivers license for a substance related reason.

All services are provided  with confidentiality and in compliance with HIPPA and 42 CFR

STOP the Abuse program offered in conjunction with the Tuscola County Family court to provide substance abuse education to youth who are first offenders with substances or related legal difficulties. STOP is a 10 week didactic program offered on an ongoing basis through the year.

PRIDE- Is a 9 week training program that provides current and prospective foster parents and adoptive parents education on the circumstances of foster and adoptive children. Facilitators are trained and certified with the State of Michigan. This program is offered to residents of Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac and Tuscola Counties.

PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES

    Offered by Dr. John Valdes.  Board Certified.  Providing Psychiatric Evaluation, medication monitoring, psychiatric consultantation and collaboration with Primary Care Physicians.
